Citrus County, Florida-- The Farmers market is taking place in Beverly Hills Friday, May 17, 2013.

Not only can you get fresh vegetables and fruit, but you can also adopt a new pet! Citrus County Animal Services will be at the Farmers Market with animals for adoption.

You will have the opportunity to adopt them on the spot.

Free Disposal Day for Citrus County Residents: Saturday, May 4

Citrus County, Florida-- The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners and Keep Citrus County Beautiful will be hosting a free disposal spring cleanup day at the central landfill on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm. Businesses will be charged business rates.

First Time Homebuyer Class in May

Citrus County, Florida-- Citrus County Housing Services is offering a First Time Homebuyer class to interested individuals. Participants who attend the entire session will receive a Certificate of Completion that is required for the SHIP and Neighborhood Stabilization Programs.

The Inverness Farmers Market is taking place Saturday, April 6, 2013.

Local vendors will offer fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, honey, bread, pastries, soaps, lotions, handmade crafts and more.

Landfill Hours for Good Friday

Citrus County, Florida--The Citrus County Central Landfill will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013 in observance of Good Friday.

There will be No Hazardous Waste Drop-offs on Good Friday.

The business office will be closed all day. For more information you can call 527-7670.

Citrus County, Florida-- The Citrus County Veterans Services Department has added the Coastal Regional Library to the list of facilities a Case Manager will be available during the week to assists veterans to apply for benefits and provide information for other veterans’ benefits.
