Disaster recovery centers to close on Sundays

Tampa Bay, Florida -- Tropical Storm Debby disaster recovery centers in three Bay area counties will close on Sundays beginning Aug. 5.

Full service will continue Monday - Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following centers:

Citrus County
Citrus County Emergency Operations Center

Lecanto, FL 34461

Pasco County
Trouble Creek Square (shopping center)
4444 Grand Blvd.
New Port Richey, FL 34652

Citrus, Polk, Sarasota counties can now apply for FEMA assistance

Tallahassee, Florida -- Tropical Storm Debby survivors in Citrus, Gilchrist, Lafayette, Polk and Sarasota counties in Florida can now apply for federal disaster assistance.

FEMA released the following information residents can use to apply for aid.

Lutz, Florida-- The Salvation Army continues to feed and distribute clean-up and personal hygiene kits to residents displaced by Tropical Storm Debby.

The Salvation Army says their canteens (kitchens on wheels) have fed residents in Wakulla, Suwannee and Citrus counties.

Salvation Army volunteers and staff are working in conjunction with the American Red Cross and local emergency managers to make sure residents in local shelters are being properly hydrated and fed.

Camp Fusion canceled

Camp Fusion canceled

Lecanto, Florida -- Due to flooding developments with Tropical Storm Debby, Camp Fusion was canceled for Wednesday, June 27.

Camp Fusion is held at the Renaissance Center which is located at 3630 W. Educational Path in Lecanto.

Weather conditions improving in Citrus County

Citrus County, Florida-- Citrus County Sheriff's Office reports that as Tropical Depression Debby moves south, changes in wind direction impact flood waters favorably, and help push water back out from the Citrus coastline.

CCSO says as of 11:30 p.m. tonight, Citizen Information Lines are no longer in operation, and shelter locations are no longer open.

Emergency management officials will continue to conduct damage assessments related to Debby.

In case of emergency, citizens are asked to call 911 directly.

The Salvation Army responds to Tropical Storm Debby

Lutz, Fla. - Today The Salvation Army placed seven canteens (mobile kitchens) on stand-by, making preparations to respond to flooding in regions affected by Tropical Storm Debby. Local assessment teams are mobilizing to determine specific needs of those affected across Florida.

Teams from Clay, Marion, Alachua, Citrus counties as well as Jacksonville, Tallahassee and North Central Florida Outpost (Madison county) are being assembled to support these affected areas.
